Breaking New GroundWe finally moved all our treasures from the Groder Ranch in Athens, Alabama including lock, fish stock and plenty of plants in barrels. Two weeks and three U-Haul trucks later, the job was done without any worse-for-wear, thanks to the Z- Blends Hemp oil from our supplier, Zurvita.
Wow, talk-about a machine -- just going and going -- my husband Quentin (aka Q) said he felt no pain or sore muscles like all the other moves we have done in the past. The Energy Z-Blend Hemp Oil in combination with our Zeal Energy drink worked miracles. Moving Tilapia fish is very tricky, so we felt very blessed we lost only 5 fish out of the 300+ now enjoying their new home in Tennessee. The Suburban Aquafarm greenhouse was too wide to transport in one piece, so Q had to cut 18 inches off one side to make a safe load. By moving it like that, it will save time on time putting it back together. Mobility is something to consider when we redesign and build the new Suburban Aquafarm unit. The comfrey fish feed plants made it in great shape and will be planted in their permanent place to next to the greenhouse for easy fish feeding. Rus and Lisa Hays, our farm sponsors, spent Friday night with us bringing along eight cadets from Rus's High School Survival class. The students shacked up somewhere on the property doing it hard while we enjoyed Mr. Hays culinary talents cooking steak on the Barbecue. The students all survived and were rewarded with goodies for completing survival tasks to sustain them over night. How fortunate for them it did not rain. Our Sabbath was spent at home in the morning with Rus, Lisa and Penny their dog, who gave us all an important lesson about how to deal with pets eating rat poison. Lisa's sharp intuition went into action when she found Penny chomping on rodent poison left from past residents. Penny was on the floor almost unconscious when Rus saved the day by pouring a bit of Hydrogen Peroxide down her throat. This caused the family companion to bring everything she swallowed back up as predicted and she was OK! What a huge relieve and lesson we learned because if it had been our pups who found the poison, they would not have made it. We also learned about the 1960s septic tanks as Sam from S & K septic and his trusted assistant Dylan, came to our rescue by unblocking the toilets and taking away 1600 gallons of sludge accumulated over many years. These two come highly recommended as they were very precise in their work and made time to have discussion about the Lord. So, we got to do a bit of evangelizing while giving thanks and praise to the Lord for all the blessings we’d received and for those blessings on their way. As expected, the house is up-side-down, but boy we love our new farm and can’t wait to get started growing. See our photo gallery for this week here
